Nessie by RyanBrentHatton Nessie by RyanBrentHatton
We've all heard of the Loch Ness Monstar, or rather the hoaxes and wishful thinking.

Well I'm here to show you that scientists went and gave up on discovering the crypid reputed to inhabit Loch Ness of the Scottish Highlands, and went on to create their own creature.

Through splicing Mammal, reptile, and other segments of DNA, the result was Nessie, a water hunting mammal 45 feet long from head to tail. Nessie has a large tank to keep her happy, all including room to dive and swim along with a makeshift island and cave for her to rest. It should be noted that Nessie dwells in the water much like a whale - having to come up for breaths every 10 - 20 minutes. Her preferred diet consists of fish and coastal plants. As far as reproduction goes, the platypus is no longer the only mammal to lay eggs. Nessie has made a nest or den for herself in the cave using sticks and plants as a beaver would.

Behavioral note - Nessie shows little interest in food that deviates from her usual diet, and is very docile in nature when it comes to interaction with humans. She exhibits a capacity for social and associative learning and will perform tricks for treats, much like a dog or seal. Although, shiny objects may catch her eye, as we found jewelry and watches dropped by the caretakers in her den.

8.5"/11" multipurpose sketchbook.
